Then, descending from the heights, you drop into the welcome of sheltered villages to enjoy a well earned drink and delicious home cooked meal as the sun goes down; all the more satisfying after the drama of the day's landscape.

Your trip begins with two nights in a charming auberge in a shady village square and finishes in a 13th century château. In between, you stay in a range of small family run hotels and delightful bed and breakfasts. You have two nights in a welcoming riverside auberge in the middle of the week, allowing you have a day relaxing, gently exploring the village and catching up with essentials such as postcards home...
